So far I like this book so far because this novel is about a boy named John who loves chocolate and one day,John had a piece of chocolate and when he'd touch something it turns into chocolate and john new he had the chocolate touch.yes I do like this book so far it is a very good book to read.
i think it is very interesting because in the TRUMPET OF THE SWAN it says that the sixth baby swan couldn't talk to the litte boy Sam so he pulled his string of his shoe to sat hello.
My new book is called Number The Stars. I LOVE THIS BOOK because its a tense climax. This is a story of Denmark and the Danish who want to save the Jews from getting taken away by the German Nazis. One part is when the people at the Uncle Henriks farm and Annemarie got taught bravery from her mother lying to her about an Great aunt-Birte.
I like this book so far, because all the cool poems you read.Different tpyes and it's a little funny of what Jack does.one example when he wrote a letter to Mr.walter Dean Myers he kept on writing if mr. walter Dean Myers will he answer back because he's a busy guy.
I like the book so far that the boy gives the casher a coin and the boy john gets box from him and he only gets one peice of chocolate. But when john eats the one peice of chocolate and now that everything taste like chocolate. So when john eats the one peice of chocolate everything taste like chocolate.
(the trumpet of the swan) i believe that sam beaver is a nice kid because the book said"perhaps thought louis sam will take me to school with him, and the teacher will show me how to write" and Sam did take him to school. That shows that same is nice and cares for louis.
It seems everyone who read Number the Stars LOVED it! I'm so glad. If you have not read the book yet, try checking it out of the public library this summer - it is a really good book -all your classmates think so!
kittycat10, Hate is a very strong word - maybe you would like other Beverly Cleary books - especially the ones with Ramona or the mouse and the motorcycle. Dear Mr. Henshaw is just written differently.
