I choose Ellen as brave. She is willing to stay away from her family to stay protected and also to have the chance of herself and her parents killed because they were jews and nazi's were after them.
I think Annemarie is very carig because when the Nazis were trying to find the Rosens family, and when Ellen stayed at Annemarie's house and was worried if anyone was going to there house, Annemarie conforted Ellen and tryed not to worry herself. She takes Ellen to lots of places where she had been to herself.
