kittycat100, Annemarie and Ellen get out of trouble by kind of lieing to the soildgers and not talking much to them. After that Annemarie and Ellen try to avoid the soildgers.

Kittycat35,

What is your favorite part in the book "Number the Stars" so far?

My favorite part is when Kirstin's Mother takes her shopping for new shoes. Kirstin doesn't like the pair of shoes her mother bought her becaue they are made of fish skin and green.

My next book is The Sign of the Beaver. I didn't want it at first but after I read part of it I starred to like it. The book is about a boy named Matt who is left home by himself. This was way back in the 1700 hundreds so he has to hunt for his own food and clean the house all by himself. So now that I'm reading it and I didn't want it I should have an open mind to new books I've never heard of.

Kittycat32,

I am glad you are starting to like your book, The Sign of the Beaver. I sometimes am the same way, that when I look at a book cover, I judge it right away. You really do have to read some of it to see if you really like it. Otherwise, you could miss out on reading some very good books. Hope you continue to enjoy the book. Keep me updated about what you think.

I am reading Number the Stars. I think i'll enjoy this book because this book is a action book with a lot of diffrent personalities even when Kirsti get these new shoes from a store or what Kirsti likes to call the fish store that are green and they have scales on them. Annemarie and Ellen think that Kirsti is a pest maybe because she complains to much. One part where it may make you think what will happen to Ellen is when soliders come to Annemaries apartment they are searching for Ellen who is jewish. These German people are really mean to all Jews if they find some they throw them in jail. So when the soliders come to the apartment they look all through the house in order not to find out that Ellen is not really Annemaries sister Annemarie breaks the necklace off of Ellen who has to pretend that she is Lise Annemaries older sister who has past away in a awful car accident right before her wedding. At first the soliders question the Joahsons about why Ellens hair is dark but theirs isn't and they tore up a picture and threw it to the ground. I wonder if Annemarie and Ellen will be endanger for a long time having people looking after them so they don't get hurt or sent to jail by the mean soliders.

I am reading The sign of the Beavers. I like it because it is very interesting and their is lots of action. Matt and the Indian catch rabbits yo eat for dinner and catch fish. Since the Indian helped Matt learn how to do that, Sarah joined and helped the Indian learn the alphebet. Matt and Sarah made a word for each letter in the alphebet and made him write it. They made sure that the Indian knew waht the words are and what they mean. So far my favorite part is when Matt goes to the Bee tree and gets stung by all the bee's and fall's in the pond.

Kittycat29,

Keep reading and you will find out whether Annemarie's family is in danger because of hiding Ellen with them. You will also find out what has happened to Ellen's parents because right now you do not know exactly where they are.

Kittycat34,

Why is the part when Matt gets stung by all the bees and falls into the pond your favorite part?

kittycat34 said...

Kittycat100,

That part is my favorite part because usually won't get stung by 100 bee's like he did. Also he even was burning so bad he had to jump into the pond which is funny because he gets all wet and his body was stinging when he could treat the bee stings another way other than jumping into the fish pond.

I just finished my book and it had a very happy ending. Matt was in the woods alone when an Indian came. Matt's father does not want Matt to be near any Indians, but the Indians helped Matt with a lot of things. One of the Indian's name was Saknis and the other was Attean. Attean was Matt's age but Matt always thought he was a show off in hunting.Matt taught him reading except Attean did not listen that much. Evenchily Attean leaves and Matt's parents come home.

I finished Number the Stars on Friday. I think the book had a sad and happy ending. I say this because the sad part was when Peter got shot by the Nazis and becomes gone. The good part is that the soliders leave where Annemarie lives and Ellen and her family are safe again. The back of the book was talking about how the author came up with the book since the book isn't really that fake.
