The mood of this story so far is Terrifying because in page 58 it says that Charlie saw a swan and realized that the swans were waiting for him. He slowly put on his slippers and walked outside and then he was on the porch waiting. He was waiting for the swans to come back to him but there was nothing. then he started to walk on the sidewalk and he was going to the pond where he always saw them. Then when he heard dogs barking he an as fast as he could and he ended up in the woods.
I'm not sure, but I think the mood is curious. You can never tell what Charlie's going to do by what he says.that's because he doesn't talk since he can't.Also, you can never tell what will happen in the next chapter. Those things make you wonde what Charlie will do next and what will happen in the next chapter.the book says,"He stood beneath the treees and looked around him.He did not know where he was." Also "He began to cry without noise."Those kinds of things make you feel curious.
I think the mood in the book so far is afraid because Charlie was looking out the window, and he saw a white object. He thought it was a swan, and he loves swans. When he went out of the house, he saw it was just a white little cat. But he new the swans watn to see him. The white cat belong to the Hutchinsons'. He kept on going on and on and on and on forever. Until he went to a place with lots of rocks, gravels, grass, and other things. Charlie got lost and couldn't find hte way back home. He new he wasn't suppose to go outside past the gate, but what's the point of it? He was really scared. That is why I think the mood of the story so far is afraid.
I think the mood of the chapter 9 and 11 is scard because Charlie goes to the woods to see the swans. Then a dog barked behind charlie and that scard charlie and charlie got scrached without noing it. Thats why I think its scard.
