on pages 1-17 the book did not really make sense to me. but now i'm starting to like this book. There have been soldiers in Annemaries country and still don't know her language. If you like mystery books you will like this book i predict because this book leaves you hanging until another chapter. There are soldiers at the corners of streets and they see Annmarie, Ellen(Annemarie's best friend), and Kirsti(Annemarie's sister). To find out what happens next you will have to read the book.
My first impressions are on the book is that the scary part is when Annemarie and Kristi got caught by the soldiers when they were playing in the street.
